"What stands out mostly to me is the
color of the silks with the linen; I like the contrast of the green and red
with the white and the green and red together. This combination was seen in the
South-West corner of Friesland (Hindelopen, Workum). However, some features on
the sampler define the piece more to West-Friesland which is in fact now part
of the province of North Holland, located north of Amsterdam with main cities
like  Hoorn, Enkhuizen and Medemblik and lots of water and agricultural land
in between.
